What it is

Like all magnet classes, plastoferrite magnets can be divided into:

ANISOTROPIC (Oriented)
FLEXO 150 - 180

ISOTROPIC (Non-oriented)
FLEXO 75

The oriented ANISOTROPIC plastoferrite we call FLEXO 150 - 180, is obtained by mixing ferrite powder composed of single crystal which are subjected to a controlled growth: (weight ~ 89%, volume ~ 60%) and nitrile rubber (NBR) (weight ~ 11%, volume ~ 40%).

By ferrite powder we mean the compound called "strontiumferrite" which is obtained by the solid-state chemical reaction of iron oxide with strontium carbonate.

For the technical characteristics of the above-mentioned materials, see the chart here enclosed.

Despite the high volume fraction of the binder, FLEXO 150 - 180 rank between those of isotropic ceramic magnets and those of anisotropic ceramic magnets, the important difference being unbreakability and high easiness of use.
