Depending on the magnet thickness and for various distances between magnet and iron ("gap") |
 |
*Note: The data is approximate depending on the possible variables.
This chats shows the holding force of magnets in a wide range of thickness and magnetization values for the three gaps: 0 - 0.25 - 0.5 mm.
The curves referring to the magnets with an iron plate on their back - TYPE 1 - show a noticeably higher holding force than corresponding TYPE 2 (magnets without iron plates).
It is self-evident that if adequate magnetization is used, it is possible to obtain better performance and, as a consequence, reduction of costs.
